Where to Live While Building

It's the question that always looms in the back of your head before you sign on the dotted line......where will I live while the house is under construction?

Thankfully, we're here to help you identify that and make arrangements on where to live! Whether this is your first home  or your fifth home, we'd like to help make your transition as easy as possible. First....we need to identify your current living situation so we can offer the best advice to you!

• If you're a first-time homebuyer then chances are you're either renting an apartment or your living with friends/family. If that is the case then GREAT - stay there until your new home is complete - there is no need to move more than once!
• Those of you that currently live in a rental home then consider when the end of your lease is complete. You'll want to time the completion of your new home to correspond with the end of your lease so you can transition from one home to the next without any additional moving. If your lease is set to expire prior to the completion of your new home, then you may want to consider asking your landlord to do a month-to-month lease until your new home is ready to move into.
• Sometimes landlords will not let you extend leases, in that case you'll want to talk with family/friends to find out if you can reside with them until the home is complete. This will require additional moving but it will be well worth it in the end.
• Short-term apartment leases are wonderful for those who need just a few months to transition from one home to the next. Our sales representatives have a list of apartments/rental properties that offer short-term leases to accommodate you while your home is under construction. We can also refer you to nearby storage units to accommodate your belongings while your home is under construction.  
• If you have a home to sell but want to start construction on your new home then why wait? As long as you qualify for both mortgages then we can build your new home while you're waiting for your old home to sell. Or, you can wait until after your new home is complete and you're all moved in to sell your old home.

There are plenty of options for you to choose from when building a home. We'll help you out as much as possible so the transition from your old residence to your new home is a simple one!
